Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch is the biggest MCU character played by Elizabeth Olsen, she teases the next evolution of her character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Olsen began her MCU journey with mid-credit scenes as Wanda Maximoff in 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier prior to making her first public appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron 2015 mid-credit scenes. As time follows, with her title role as Wanda Vision in Marvel’s first Disney series, Wanda has become a significant character in the MCU.

One of the major characters of Phase 4 MCU, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Scarlet Witch, falls from the Mount of Wundagore and seems dead by the movie’s end, which ultimately teases the next story of Scarlet Witch in her MCU future.

Olsen was spotted addressing her future in MCU during an interview on the Today Show, and the actress directly replied when she was asked about her return as Scarlet Witch in the next phase.

Based on her reply, Olsen has no clue about her inclusion as Scarlet Witch after her apparent death at the end of the Doctor Strange’s last adventure, and she hasn’t made any deal with MCU yet. So, the actress is still determining Scarlet Witch’s return details.

Al Roker: I have to ask. Scarlet Witch. Are we going to see more?

Elizabeth Olsen: It’s a hard question for me to answer because I feel like my words are always twisted every time I answer it, but like…

Al Roker: Think of this as the “no twist zone.”

Olsen: So my no twist zone is “Yes I hope so.” I have no idea. When I say that, it’s not because I have a loaded answer. It’s because I say, “Yes I hope so,” and I mean it at face value.

Roker: Have you started filming?

Olsen: Absolutely not.

Roker: Have you seen a script?

Olsen: No

Craig Melvin: Has there been a Zoom call?

Olsen: There’s no contract. There you go.

The Projects That Could Feature Scarlet Witch’s Next MCU Appearance

In an interview with Screen Rant, Olsen talked about Scarlet Witch’s return; she referred to the events of Doctor Strange’s last part, and according to her, in the massive Franchise by Kevin Feige, you cannot expect a death a hard and fast thing. Check out what she said.

“We can do anything with her now! I feel like we’ve done so much. Now, we can really have fun; I feel like there’s a lot more humor to be had with her. She’s often the emotion of a story, and I’m curious to see what we can explore. And hopefully [we can] give her some redemption.”

With the number of theatrical features and tv shows, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is expanding rapidly, and it’s quite difficult to mention her next appearance as Scarlet Witch. However, she is likely to be redeemed in the upcoming project of Disney, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, in which Kathryn Hahn will be reprising her role as the main antagonist of Wanda Vision, Agatha Harkness, who is bound to take revenge from Wanda after waking up from the magic spell.

Scarlet Witch’s comeback in Agatha: Coven of Chaos seems perfect as Billy Kaplan (Joe Locke), the transmigrated son of Wanda, will also be a part of the series.

Another expected return of Scarlet Witch is in the second Wanda Vision spin-off sequel, Disney + Vision Quest Series, also starring Paul Bettany as the White Vision hero of MCU, who was brought back to life during Wanda Vision. He will be seeking to retrieve his memory and humanity that Wanda Vision’s Jack Schaeffer possessed. With reference to the connection between Wanda and Vision, Olsen is destined to return as Scarlet Witch in the MCUs Vision Quest.
