The first official Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 poster, which shows the new crew as a whole. In the third instalment of the Guardians of the Galaxy series, Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill must assemble his motley crew to defend the galaxy one last time while still grieving the loss of Gamora.

The Guardians will no longer exist in their current form. In the James Gunn-written and -directed threequel, which reunites the whole ensemble cast.

Marvel Studios has just published the first official poster for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to go along with the first teaser for the threequel. In the image, Star-Lord, Drax (Dave Bautista), Groot (Vin Diesel), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), and Kraglin are all shown with Gamora (Zoe Saldaa) (Sean Gunn).

How Vol. 3 Could Bring Gamora & The Guardians Back Together

Gamora was sacrificed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War in order to retrieve the Soul Stone, but time travel in Avengers Endgame brought a different Gamora back to the present. Gamora fled soon after Thanos was beaten in Endgame, but she has no memory of Peter or the other Guardians.

It’s unknown what she’s been doing since then. The Guardians also spent some time with Thor, but in the first few minutes of Thor: Love & Thunder, they quickly parted ways. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special indicated that they have established a new base of operations on Knowhere and are still engaged in valiant resistance.

The Gamora return was teased in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 trailer. Previously headed by Yondu played by Michael Rooker, the Ravagers are now under her control. Given this, it seems likely that Gamora will lead her own life in Vol. 3 for a while before rejoining the Guardians.

The new image, which depicts the group perched on top of their new starship the Bowie in front of a tranquil galactic sunset, and the trailer both give glimpses of their much-anticipated reunion.

It remains to be seen how Gamora and the Guardians will come together in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

It will, however, probably have something to do with Peter’s obstinate attempts to get Gamora back.

The new commander of the Ravagers will likely aid the Guardians in fending off some fresh adversaries. Including Adam Warlock (Will Poulter), who Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) created with the intention of destroying the Guardians, and the fearsome High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji).

Whatever leads Gamora to re-join the Guardians, the theatrical release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will undoubtedly be an emotional experience.
